About Narooma Seaplane Flights
Whale Watching Flights
South Coast Seaplane’s home is in the centre lane of the ‘Humpback Highway”. The whale watching season runs from September to November annually, and during their southern migration whales are moving slowly, often with calves and close to the coastline. The waters surrounding Montague Island are rich in krill and close to the edge of the continental shelf, making them a popular feeding ground for whales, especially female whales and their nursing calves.
We can tailor a flight to allow you the best chance to see these beautiful creatures from the air, from where you can see their every move both on and below the surface without disturbing them. Call our friendly team for details.

Mystery Bay & Central Tilba
After departing Forsters Bay, we head south and take in stunning views of the coastline. We will fly over Mystery Bay, named after the mysterious discovery of a wrecked boat whose five occupants vanished in 1880, home to spectacular rock formations and breathtaking beaches. We then track west towards the Tilba region and the Gulaga National Park. Experience the historic township of Central Tilba from the air and fly past Gulaga (Mother Mountain of the Yuin people) before heading back to Narooma and the serene waters of Forsters Bay
Tuross Falls Flights
A seaplane is the perfect way to experience the awesome beauty of Tuross Falls. We depart from the water at either Moruya or Narooma and climb our way into the mountains of the Wadbilliga National Park to the west of the Eurobodalla. As we leave the coast behind us we get amazing views of the rocky escarpments and rugged bushland that mark the edge of the Monaro Plateau. After 15 minutes we reach the Tuross Gorge, and circle to get a spectacular view of the falls. An even more amazing view awaits as we turn: below us the entire Eurobodalla coastline is visible in the distance below. We then begin a gentle descent which follows the river as it meanders from the gorge and through the picturesque Nerrigundah valley and makes its way to the sea at Tuross Head. We then return for a beautiful landing on the water at our departure point.
