Terms and Conditions for South Coast Seaplanes

Welcome to South Coast Seaplanes. By booking and/or using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these terms carefully as they outline your rights and obligations when engaging with South Coast Seaplanes (hereafter referred to as “SCS”). These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time, and the most current version will always be available on our website.


General

  1. Booking Requirements

    • A minimum of two adult fares is required to confirm a flight. SCS will make every effort to match single passengers to create a flight. If SCS cannot establish a flight, single passengers are entitled to a full refund.
  2. Check-In

    • Passengers must check in at least 30 minutes prior to the arranged departure time. Late arrivals may result in forfeiture of the booking without refund.
  3. Children

    • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Any exceptions must be approved by SCS management.
  4. Flight Times

    • While SCS makes every effort to adhere to scheduled departure and arrival times, exact timings cannot be guaranteed. SCS is not liable for any additional costs or inconvenience caused by delays, including missed connections or events.
  5. Third-Party Services

    • Where SCS does not operate a section of a package or directly provide a service (e.g., third-party tours or activities), SCS is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from such services.
  6. Pricing

    • Prices are subject to change without notice due to factors such as fuel costs or supplier charges.
  7. Wildlife Sightings

    • While SCS operates in areas abundant with marine life, including dolphins and whales, wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
  8. Gift Vouchers

    • Gift vouchers are non-refundable and must be used within their validity period.

Cancellation Policy

  1. By SCS

    • SCS reserves the right to cancel or modify flights if operational conditions (e.g., weather, safety) do not allow for a safe and enjoyable experience. In such cases, passengers may choose between a full refund or rescheduling the flight at a convenient time.
  2. By Passengers

    • Cancellations made:
      • 7+ days before departure: Eligible for a 100% refund.
      • 2–7 days before departure: Eligible for a 50% refund.
      • Within 2 days of departure: No refund will be provided.
    • Exceptions to this policy are at the sole discretion of SCS management.

Baggage

  1. Carrying Baggage

    • Baggage may only be carried with prior arrangement and must be made available for inspection by SCS staff.
  2. Passenger Responsibility

    • Personal items, including wallets, cameras, mobile phones, and documents, are carried at the passenger’s own risk. SCS accepts no liability for loss or damage to personal belongings.
  3. Storage

    • SCS may provide storage for small items during flights but does not guarantee the security of stored items.

Payment and Refunds

  1. Payment Terms

    • All bookings must be paid in full at least 5 days before the flight. Failure to pay within this timeframe may result in cancellation of the booking.
  2. Refunds

    • Refunds will be processed within 14 days of approval. Payments made via credit card will be refunded to the same card.
  3. Credit Card Fees

    • Bookings made via credit card may incur a processing fee unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Passenger Conduct

  1. Behavior

    • Passengers must behave appropriately during the flight. The pilot reserves the right to refuse boarding or terminate the flight if a passenger’s behavior compromises the safety or comfort of others.
  2. Damage

    • Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to the aircraft due to their actions.

Liability

  1. Limitations

    • SCS is not liable for:
      • Loss of profit, revenue, or opportunity.
      • Indirect or consequential damages.
      • Delays caused by weather, traffic, or other unforeseen events.
  2. Force Majeure

    • SCS is not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to weather, strikes, or government restrictions.

Third-Party Booking Platform (Rezdy)

  1. Rezdy Integration

    • SCS uses Rezdy as its third-party booking platform. By booking through Rezdy, you agree to their Terms and Conditions, which can be found here.
  2. Payment Processing

    • Payments made through Rezdy are processed securely via Stripe. SCS does not store any financial information.
  3. Data Sharing

    • SCS may share booking-related data with Rezdy and Stripe to facilitate transactions.
  4. Refunds via Rezdy

    • Refunds for bookings made through Rezdy will follow Rezdy’s refund policies.

Travel Insurance

  • Passengers are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations, delays, or emergencies.

Acknowledgments

  1. Photography and Marketing

    • By participating in an SCS flight, passengers consent to the use of images or videos taken during the experience for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be included, please notify SCS in writing before your flight.
  2. Compliance

    • Passengers must comply with all instructions provided by SCS staff and pilots.

Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
